Hybrid-AI FILM: Kærlighed – an animated short about love

Kærlighed is an intimate film exploring the many dimensions of love. Created for Denmark's national broadcaster DR & Aarhus University, this short film transforms real interview recordings into a visually captivating animated experience, with participants sharing deeply personal reflections on what makes love beautiful, painful, and transformative.

Our approach

We created unique character avatars for the interviewees and animated them using AI-driven 3D animation. To add depth (and humour) we created cut-scenes inside the interviews.

This project is part of a three-film series for DR based on Aarhus University Press's popular "Tænkepauser" book series, demonstrating how AI can make thoughtful, visually sophisticated documentary content more accessible to broadcasters.
